Desired experience: five years or more Location: Lombok, Indonesia
Salary: Candidate is advised to seek for his/her own funding to cover the salary and stipend.
Context: Peduli Anak Foundation is a non-profit organization fighting for the rights of street children in Indonesia. Since it was established in 2006, Peduli Anak has helped numerous street children to advance in their life through education, health and basic care support. After successfully running its three shelters providing basic needs for more than 60 children and taking part to develop local communities, Peduli Anak is ready to move forward in promoting high standard but affordable primary education in Lombok, Indonesia.
The idea of building our own international school came up from the lack of good standard of education on the island. Many public schools, especially the ones in the villages, are standing below the national standard whereas most private schools are not accessible or affordable for the majority of Lombok people. Here in Peduli Anak Foundation we believe that good education is for all. It is one of the most important rights of children. By having our own school, we provide free high standard education for the children of Peduli Anak yet accessible and affordable for non-Peduli Anak children.
