Peduli Anak Foundation is a foundation that relies solely from aids and contributions from donors and friends. Without their sincere and loyal support, we wouldn’t be who are right now. Few days ago we received an anonymous donation from a foundation in Holland for the amount of €20,000. We are very grateful to accept such a generous contribution. For a growing foundation like Peduli Anak, every penny counts. Our mysterious donor also instructed on how we should spend the money.

As you might already know, Peduli Anak has been running a vocational school for almost a year now. The school offers non-formal education such as carpentry, mechanic workshop, computer, sewing, art, English, and music. The objective of this program is to provide free non-formal education for the children of Peduli Anak and underprivileged youths in our neighboring community. We are hoping that this program could help children and youths to be a skillful and self-sufficient individual by channeling their talent and encouraging them to do more positive activities that will later equip them with practical life skills. Moreover, the school also serves as a center for information on non-formal education which helps children and youths to determine what kind of education or job suitable for their needs and interest.

Therefore, by the donor’s request, the cash donation will be spent to pay the salary of four vocational school teachers over the course five years. Our teachers are experts in their field. They have knowledge and experience in the business. Both aspects are very important to determine the success of the program. Upon completion of the program, students are expected to work in the related field or even start their own business. Peduli Anak will help them to find a job or give them soft loan.

We realize how significant this program is in the community development. It is, therefore, our commitment to re-integrate our children into the society as a skillful and responsible young generation who will be an agent of change in the community development. Hence, every contribution to vocational school is maximized to support all aspects of the program in the long run.

So thank you, mysterious donor, for your tremendous help. We’d also like to extend our gratitude to all sponsors who have supported Peduli Anak throughout these years. Remember, every little thing helps. Together we can make a difference!
