As you already know, it is our commitment to provide the best education for our children. We already have a school here in Peduli Anak. But this school is only for informal education and after-school education for our own children and children from the poor villages nearby. We have English class, Arts, Music, Sewing, Computer, Carpentry, and Mechanic workshop. There is also a reading and writing class for illiterate children.

Currently, only 10 of our children are lucky enough to receive the best education on the island of Lombok by attending an international school, Sekolah Nusa Alam. The rest of the children go to village schools with poor quality of education. These schools have limited facilities to support the learning process and the quality of the teachers in general is slightly under the national standard.

Therefore, Peduli Anak Foundation is planning to build its own international-standard primary and secondary schools which will provide free qualified education for our children. The schools will also open its door to other children in Lombok with affordable fees.

By running its own schools, Peduli Anak will accomplish three major goals: to provide free qualified education for children living in Peduli Anak, to generate income to support the operational costs of the schools and the foundation in general and to support government program of free and high standard education for all children in Indonesia.

At the moment, we are still requesting all the licenses and permit to build a school. We hope that we can open the schools next year and accept about 120 students. However, we could not start building the school without a large amount of funding. We need all helps we can get.
